Hawkeye wrestlers upset by Minnesota 19-15

Two large upsets would turn out to be the difference as #2 Iowa fell to #4 Minnesota 19-15 in Iowa City on Saturday.

The first came at 125 when the Gophers Samuel Brancale put 3rd ranked Thomas Gilman on his back for a late first period pin.  Then, at 157 pounds, Derek Saint John saw his perfect home record snapped by Dylan Ness.  With under 20 seconds remaining, Ness reversed Saint John on to his back for a 5 point turnaround, which rallied him to a 7-4 decision.

Iowa 133 pounder Tony Ramos remained undefeated at home moving to 33-0 with a 6-2 decision over David Thorne, while 11th ranked 141 pounder Josh Dziewa picked up his second win over a top 5 opponent defeating 5th ranked Chris Dardanes 1-0.

The National Federation of State High School Associations recognizesSchultz's record as1,578 wins as those ones came during the summer baseball season.
