Water problem shuts down Black Hawk County Courthouse

Posted: Updated:
WATERLOO (KWWL) - A water problem over the noon hour briefly shut down the Black Hawk County Courthouse on Friday.

Waterloo firefighters were called to the Courthouse at around noon when water began flowing from the East 6th Street entrance of the building.

Employees evacuated the building and an incident commander was stationed at the door, blocking the entrance.

Firefighters were tasked with stopping the water from flowing and getting the water out of the building as it was pouring down the windows and walls.

A cause has not been determined.
