Black Hawks' O'Handley talks about USHL record

Posted: Updated:
WATERLOO (KWWL) -

In between practice sessions---PK O'Handley has been bombarded with well wishes from throughout the Hockey World after becoming the all-time winningest coach in the history of the USHL. The record setting 531st victory was one that is special to him and his players.@

In the nearly 12 seasons--O'Handley has been in Waterloo the Black Hawks have averaged more than 30 wins a season and have made the postseason every year but one-- winning the Clark Cup Championship in 2004. P-K says his greatest thrill was turning around a dormant Waterloo franchise.

Just as important as the victories--- O'Handley has been the caretaker of a program that has sent hundreds of players to college---This weekend the Black Hawks travel to Fargo looking to extend their 12 game winning streak.
