Suspect named in 2012 death of Carl Gallmeyer of Nashua

CHICKASAW COUNTY (KWWL) - The Chickasaw County Sheriff's office says they have found a "viable suspect" in the death of Carl "Kenneth" Gallmeyer. 

Randy Lee Patrie of Charles City has been named a "viable" suspect in the death of Gallmeyer, who was found dead inside his home near Nashua on October 4th, 2012, according to Sheriff Todd Miller.

According to the his death certificate, the 70-year-old Gallmeyer died after being shot in the head inside his home.

Patrie is currently in custody on weapon and burglary charges with the U.S. Marshal for the Northern District of Iowa.

The Chickasaw County Sheriff's office says the investigation into Patrie for the death of Gallmeyer is continuing.
