UPDATE: Governor Terry Branstad announces gubernatorial run, tours Iowa

WATERLOO (KWWL) - On Wednesday night, Governor Terry Branstad and Lt. Governor Kim Reynolds announced another run for Branstad's sixth term as governor.
The announcement came during a campaign event in West Des Moines.
Both Branstad and Reynolds are scheduled to visit Eastern Iowa on Friday.

Governor Terry Branstad and Lt. Governor Kim Reynolds will begin a tour across Iowa Wednesday visiting 14 cities.

They plan to discuss their vision for the future of Iowa and focus on accomplishments made during his time in office.

In addition, Gov. Branstad is expected to make a major campaign announcement Wednesday night.

He is scheduled to be at the Hy-Vee Conference Center in West Des Moines at 6:30 p.m.

Both Gov. Branstad and Lt. Gov. Kim Reynolds are scheduled to visit Dubuque, Waterloo and Cedar Rapids on Friday.
