Waterloo police use Taser on man accused of cashing stolen checks

WATERLOO (KWWL) -

One man was taken to the hospital after Waterloo police used a Taser to stop the man from running away.

Waterloo Police say they were called to Regions Bank near Crossroads Mall around 3:30 p.m.

The bank told police a man was trying to cash stolen checks. Police say they used a Taser when the man tried to runaway from police.

The man's name and condition are not known at this time.
