Four-year-old girl killed in Iowa County accident

IOWA COUNTY (KWWL) -

A four-year-old little girl is dead after a two-vehicle accident on County Road V66 near Marengo in Iowa County.

The Iowa County Sheriff's Office, Marengo Police Department, and the Iowa County Ambulance Service responded to a near head-on traffic accident around 4:15 p.m. on Friday, January 10th.

In one vehicle was 40-year-old Matthew Myers of Elberon. In the other vehicle were 26-year-old Brandi Mumm of Williamsburg and her daughter, four-year-old Kaitlyn.

The Iowa County Sheriff's Office reports the little girl died from her injuries.

Mumm and Myers were transported to area hospitals with serious injuries.

Although the accident remains under investigation, the roadway was completely ice covered at the time of the accident.
