Minor league football team, Cedar Valley Charge, looking for players

WATERLOO (KWWL) -

A new, minor league football team is looking for players.

The Cedar Valley Charge is hosting tryouts on Saturday, January 25th at the Cedar Valley SportsPlex in Waterloo from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

You must be at least 18 years old. If you sign up before January 22nd, the cost is $20. After that date, the cost goes up to $30.

The public is invited to watch the tryouts on Saturday, January 25th.

The tryout will be held in NFL-style combine, including:

-40-yard dash

-Agility

-Vertical

-Bench Press

-Height and weight measurements

The Cedar Valley Charge is a minor league football team dedicated to community enrichment and entertainment. Owner/Head Coach Rob Weiss said the goal is to provide high-quality professional football to the community, to offer family-friendly sports entertainment, and to give back to the area through community service, donations, and professional development.

The team also gives players the opportunity to continue playing the game they love, get to the next level if desired, and provide them with the tools to improve the quality of their life professionally, individually, and as members of the Cedar Valley community.
