#3 Hawkeye wrestlers roll past #5 Oklahoma State 24-6

IOWA CITY (KWWL) -

Iowa won 8 of 10 matches, including all of the marquis showdowns, as they rolled past #5 Oklahoma State 24-6 on Friday night.

The first big match came at 133, where 4th ranked Tony Ramos put #1 Jon Morrison on his back midway through the 3rd period to pull out an 8-2 upset victory.  Fifteenth ranked Tony Grothus followed suit with a 5 point move getting a quick reversal and back points against #3 Josh Kindig at 149 to take control en route to a 9-5 decision.  At 157, top ranked Derek Saint John only needed a second period reversal to defeat #2 Alex Dieringer 2-1.

The Hawkeyes 18 point margin of victory was the largest over Oklahoma State since 1995.

    The Iowa baseball team rallied from an 5-0 deficit to defeat Minnesota 11-5 and even their weekend series 1-1.The Hawkeyes started chipping away after falling behind 5-0 in the top of the second.
