BLACK HAWK COUNTY (KWWL) -

The Black Hawk County Sheriff's Office says Shannon Craig, age 37, faces two assault charges after Craig attacked two deputies on Wednesday in a courtroom.

Craig is accused of "creating a disturbance" and then assaulting two deputies. The sheriff's office say he kicked one in the stomach and punched the other in the head and chest.

Neither deputy required medical attention, but Craig is charged with two counts of assault on a peace officer and remains at the Black Hawk County Jail.
