DES MOINES (AP) -
Some people in Iowa say they're unfazed by the frigid weather currently hitting the state.
Retired teacher Don Strub called it "uncomfortable" weather as he sipped coffee and read the newspaper Monday in downtown Des Moines. But the 81-year-old said he planned to go about his day because "you have to keep on living."
Brent Bidus, of San Antonio, Texas, was in Des Moines for business. The 44-year-old health care consultant says he's seen a lot worse, and you just need good gloves and a coat.
The weather didn't stop 41-year-old Michael Farber, of Iowa City, from riding his bike. Farber uses a bike with special four-inch studded tires for snow. He also wears warm cycling gear. He says having the right clothing and equipment is important.

"The key findings in 2015 and actually in 2017 is that our students are most likely to tell another student or a peer about an incident. so we want to make sure that our peers know about resources, know how to report problems and know how to support a friend when they disclose,"
