CEDAR RAPIDS (KWWL) -

A Cedar Rapids man was sentenced to seven years in prison for assault and forgery.

Johnathan Mitchell pleaded guilty to assaulting Arvin Druvenga in September 2010.

Police say Druvenga and his wife were watching football from their parked car when the assault took place. Mitchell must pay restitution fees.

He was previously found not guilty in the murder of a cab driver in April 2011.
