CEDAR RAPIDS (KWWL) -
After 16 years on Mount Vernon Road in Cedar Rapids, the Cork 'n Fork Deli 'n Grill has closed.
Owners Len and Kathy Skvor posted a message on the restaurants Facebook page. In it, they say "the economy has finally taken its toll on our business too."
Customers & Friends -
It is with a heavy heart that we announce that effective January 1, 2014, we have closed Cork'n Fork. Over the last 16 years, we have had many loyal customers and employees. We want to thank all of our customers for their patronage. Unfortunately, the economy has finally taken its toll on our business too. So it is with great regret that we must say our final goodbyes and wish everyone a Happy 2014.
Len and Kathy Skvor
The Cork 'n Fork joins a growing list of family owned restaurants that have closed their doors in Cedar Rapids over the last year including the Vernon Inn and The Spring House Family Restaurant.
