CEDAR RAPIDS (KWWL) -
The last week of December is the biggest week for sales, the entire year for car dealerships, as they're getting rid of the old and driving in the new 2014 models.
Besides manufacturers pushing out inventory to boost their numbers for the year, Gavin McGrath, general sales mangers at McGrath Chevyland says year-end sales also help.
"We've had a great month. The last week of December is probably the biggest week of the entire year," said McGrath. "It really makes up about 40-45 percent of the whole month of December packed into five days right after Christmas."
McGrath says they've had extra staff on hand to make sure buyers were getting the best deals they could.
