Lamont man arrested for manufacturing meth

LAMONT (KWWL) - Buchanan County authorities believe Anthony Pirtle, 41, of Lamont was manufacturing methamphetamine.

In a press release, the Buchanan County Sheriff's Office stated Pirtle was arrested on Tuesday, December 31, after a warrant stemming from a drug bust in August where six other individuals have been arrested.

According to the Buchanan County Sheriff's Office, the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation and the Black Hawk County Sheriff's Office assisted in Pirtle's arrest.

Authorities say Pirtle is being held in the Buchanan County Correction Center, along with the other six individual arrested from the August incident.
