FAYETTE (KWWL) -

A Fayette man has died after being hit by a car this weekend.

The Fayette County Sheriff's Office says it happened just before 6 p.m. Saturday.

72-year-old Clark Phelps was crossing Highway 150 and was hit by a car driven by 32-year-old Trisha Ryan of Decorah.

Paramedics took Phelps to Palmer Hospital, then moved him to University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics by air.

Phelps died Monday from his injuries, according to officials.

The Fayette County Sheriff says Ryan was not at fault, and no charges will be filed.
