Warm weather drove drivers to car washes

Posted: Updated:
CORALVILLE (KWWL) -

The warm temperatures Saturday helped melt some snow and drove drivers to clean their dirty cars.

The Touchless Laserwash car wash in Coralville was packed with drivers lined up getting the salt, mud, and sand off, while the temperatures were nice.

Car wash workers say within the first few hours of opening, they saw close to 100 cars flow in.

Don Peterson, the owner says he'll take it, because business doesn't come often during the winter.

"December is sometimes difficult for car wash owners, but the December so far this year has been really good for certain days," said Peterson.

Peterson says he anticipates business to be consistent all the way up until the temperatures start dipping Saturday night .
