Four adults and three children were taken to the hospital Friday after two vehicles collided at the intersection of North Raymond Road and East Cedar Wapsi Road near Dunkerton around 7:15 p.m..
The Black Hawk County Sheriff's Office says a vehicle driven by 28-year-old Steven Chidester, Jr. of Davenport was headed east when he failed to obey a stop sign and struck a vehicle driven by 25-year-old Stephanie Holtmeyer of Waterloo, which was heading north on Raymond Rd. Her vehicle went in the ditch and rolled.
Holtmeyer and 3 passengers - 25-year-old Seth Gerst of Waterloo and 2 children, ages 2 and 11 months - were taken to a Waterloo hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Chidester and 2 passengers - 24-year-old Mackenzie Hayeshe of Davenport and her 5-year-old daughter - were taken to a Waterloo hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Chidester was cited for failure to obey a traffic control device.
