Mt. Pleasant inmate dies Sunday of cerebral hemorrhage

IOWA CITY (KWWL) - An inmate at the Mt. Pleasant Correctional Facility has died of a cerebral hemorrhage, according to the Iowa Department of Corrections.

David Deangelo Wise, 46, died "of natural causes due to a cerebral hemorrhage" on Sunday at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, according to Fred Scaletta with the Dept. of Corrections.

Wise had been serving a 10-year sentence from Hamilton County for two counts of prohibited acts with cocaine.

Wise's sentence had begun on June 18.
