Santa drops by for lunch at Cedar Falls school

Posted: Updated:
CEDAR FALLS (KWWL) -
Santa Claus surprised some lucky students at River Hills School in Cedar Falls nearly one week before his big night.

Mr. and Mrs. Claus appeared while Hudson High School students sang Christmas carols at the school gymnasium.

Students were then given the opportunity to meet Claus and even have some pizza with the big, bearded man.

Hudson students also helped the young people at River Hills create holiday crafts.

River Hills offers services to students with developmental disabilities from ages 3 to 21. The Covenant Health Care Foundation has hosted this event for the past ten years as a way to thank the Variety Club for its support of children's health care. Hy-Vee provided lunch food.
