UPDATE: Aplington boil order lifted

Posted: Updated:
APLINGTON (KWWL) -

Aplington city officials announced on Wednesday morning that the boil order in place since the weekend has been lifted.

The DNR issued a boil advisory Saturday evening after a water main break.  The system's well pumps and water tower were shut down during repairs, which caused a drop in water pressure, creating the potential for bacteria to enter the system.

They say no bacteria was found during the testing.
