Cyclones rally past UNI for 91-82 overtime win

DES MOINES (KWWL) -

Iowa State erased an 18 point second half deficit to defeat UNI 91-82 in an overtime thriller Saturday night.

After UNI stormed out and grabbed a 48-31 lead, the Cyclones used a huge 23-2 run to get back in to the game.  However, things once again looked in doubt when Panther center Seth Tuttle banked in a heavily contested 3-pointer at the buzzer to send the game to overtime.

Iowa State point guard Deandre Kane led the effort in the overtime that kept the Cyclones undefeated on the season.

Melvin Ejim and Georges Niang led Iowa State with 22 apiece, 20 of Ejim's came in the second half.

Sophomore Nate Buss led UNI with a 23 point effort.
