Waterloo Police investigate two reports of shots fired Saturday morning

WATERLOO (KWWL) -

The Waterloo Police Department is investigating two reports of shots fired Saturday morning.

The first incident happened just before 2:30 a.m. Officers responded to a report of shots fired near Elmwood Street and Western Avenue.

Police officers said they saw someone running to the Sherwood Court Apartments and that person appeared to be armed with a handgun.

Police arrested 23-year-old Ted Scott, Junior for possession of a weapon by a felon.

No injuries or damage were reported.

The second incident happened just after 4 a.m. Saturday. Waterloo Police responded to shots fired in the 400 block of Randall Street. Officers said a home was struck by two bullets.

No injuries were reported. No arrests have been made at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
