Waterloo kids complete #26Acts memorial for Sandy Hook victims

WATERLOO (KWWL) -

A group of Waterloo children have created a memorial to honor those killed during the Sandy Hook shooting in Connecticut.

The mural was designed from a combination of drawings by the Visual Logic Youth Art team. It is Visual Logic's final act in the nationwide "#26Acts of Kindness" campaign, which started on Twitter to pay tribute to the 26 people that died in Newtown.

Visual Logic joined the campaign last year after the shootings.

"It's definitely affected the work environment and built friendships," said Jason Thompson, a designer for Visual Logic. "I think it has spread kindness to other people and hopefully, you know, paid it forward as well."

This is Visual Logic's second time completing the #26Acts.
