Waverly Festival of Trees emits holiday spirit

WAVERLY (KWWL) -

The Waverly Chamber of Commerce Festival of Trees is open to the public December 3-15 at Wartburg College.

This annual event showcases festive trees donated and decorated by area businesses, organizations and college groups. Organizers use the festival as a means to create a relationship between students, community members, and local businesses.

Many trees will be up for grabs as part of a silent auction. All proceeds will help replace costumes used for Waverly's Christmas Greetings on Main event.

The Festival of Trees was held at the Waverly Fire House Museum, until it outgrew the venue in 2010.

The display is open daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Wartburg College Center for Technology Education.
