BLACK HAWK COUNTY (KWWL) -

One person was injured after an accident in Black Hawk County. It happened around 6:30 Friday evening near East Cedar Wapsi and Goeller Roads.

According to deputies with the Black Hawk County Sheriff's Department, a white Impala tried to pass a vehicle driven by 28-year-old Chrystal Harkrider of Oelwein.

While passing, that car hit a deer but didn't stop.

Harkrider then hit the brakes to avoid hitting the Impala. She was struck by another vehicle driven by 37-year-old Danielle Culbert of Oelwein. Culbert was transported to the hospital.
