Iowa State Representative Pat Murphy now holds campaign headquarters in Dubuque. The new office is located on Main Street in Dubuque. The space will be used by volunteers and supporters to continue their efforts to get Murphy elected to Congress.
"We needed to move into a bigger area than the basement in my house. We moved in here about three weeks ago or not even three weeks ago about two and a half weeks ago." Murphy said.
Murphy is competing against Democrats, Monica Vernon, Dave O'Brien, Swati Dandekar, and Rep. Anesa Kajtazovic for the U.S. House seat that will be open up while Rep. Bruce Braley runs for senate. Republicans also seeking the 1st district seat including Rob Blum, Steve Rathje, Jason Welch and Walt Rogers.
