Both the Hawkeye and Cyclone men's basketball programs crack the top 25!
A 77-70 win against No. 7 Michigan Sunday has vaulted the Iowa State men's basketball team into the Associated Press top-25 for the first time since latein the 2011-12 season. The Cyclones enter the poll at No. 21.
Iowa State's No. 21 ranking is the highest for the program since the 2000-01 season.
While the University of Iowa men's basketballteam cracked the USA Today/Coaches poll this week, ranking 25th with 74 votes. The Hawkeyes received 144 votes in the Associated Press ranking, and are 22 votes from making that top 25.
Iowa has opened its season with four consecutive victories, winning by a margin of 39.8 points. The Hawkeyes scored 100-pluspoints in each of their last two games.
