17-year-old dies in head-on crash in Hardin County

HARDIN COUNTY (KWWL) -

One person is dead and another injured after a head-on crash in Hardin County.

It happened around 6:45 a.m. Saturday on Highway 175, a half mile west of Radcliffe.

The Iowa State Patrol reports a vehicle driven by 17-year-old Braden Wicks of Jewell crossed the center line and hit a vehicle driven by 62-year-old Floyd Wiley of Zearing.

Braden Wicks died in the accident.

Floyd Wiley was injured.

The accident remains under investigation.
