Posted: Updated:
CEDAR RAPIDS (KWWL) -

Dike-New Hartford's has not lost to a team from the state of Iowa since 20-11 --

Western Christian looked intent on changing that as Haley Moss gave the Wolfpack a first set win --

but the Wolverines got it figured out in the second as Lizzie Blough would give them the 22, 20 lead -- while on set point -- Rachael Koop caught the defense napping as the Wolverines knotted it up at one --

and they'd keep it going in the second -- coming back from a 7 point deficit as Brooke Morgan got the winner for another 25, 22 win --

and the Wolverines finished strong as Briana Weber drills one of her 15 kills for a late lead -- while Ashley Dumler got one to the floor on match point as DNH 3-peats as champs --

In class 1-A -- the entire town of Janesville showed up to watch the Wildcats go after their first state team title in any sport --

and the Wildcats hammered top ranked Holy Trinity early -- freshman Gillian Gergen tallies one of her 11 kills as Janesville smoked through game one 25, 10 --

but Nebraska recruit Mickaela Foeke brought the Crusaders back in the second -- she'd knock home 31 kills -- that gave them the second game 25, 22 --

but Janesville would not be denied -- Kendyl Sorge would end the 3rd set with the ace -- 25-14 Janesville--

and they'd rally in the 4th -- Sylvia Amlie drives the kill to give the Wildcats a late lead --

and on match point -- it would be Gergen that would get the winner -- it's a state title for Janesville as they win in four --
