BLACK HAWK COUNTY (KWWL) -

Two people were hospitalized after a rollover crash on I-380 in Black Hawk County late Thursday night.

Shae Scott, 18, of Iowa City was headed south on I-380 near mile marker 64 when she lost control of the SUV she was driving at around 11:55 p.m. Thursday, according to Sgt. Dave Hinz of the Black Hawk County Sheriff's Office.

Hinz says the SUV went into the median and rolled twice before coming to rest on its wheels.

Two passengers were injured, one of whom had been thrown from the SUV during the crash, according to Hinz. They were both taken to Covenant Medical Center.

Scott and three other passengers were not injured.

Scott was ticketed for failure to maintain control.
