3 families displaced by mobile home fire in Hiawatha

HIAWATHA (KWWL) -

Hiawatha authorities are investigating an early-morning fire at a mobile home park.

The fire started at about 2:15 a.m. Tuesday in the Tower Terrace Mobile Home Park.

According to Hiawatha Fire Chief Mike Nesslage the fire started in one home and then spread to others near it.  Nesslage says three homes have been destroyed and two have been damaged by the fire.

No one was injured.

Three families were impacted by the fire/ The Red Cross is helping them with lodging, food, and new clothing.

The cause is now being investigated by the State Fire Marshal.
