Tyler Sievertson kicked a 34-yard field goal as time expired to propel UNI to a 22-20 victory over Youngstown State Saturday. With the Panthers starting QB and RB out with injuries, the Panthers overcame a 14-6 deficit at halftime to take a 19-6 lead.
The Penguins took a 20-19 lead on a 4-yard run by Kurt Hess with just over 4 minutes remaining. THe Panthers then marched down the field to put Sievertson in position for the game-winning kick.
With the win, the Panthers snapped a 5 game losing streak and got its first conference win.
The Panthers will play Missouri State next Saturday in Springfield, Mo. Kickoff begins at 1 p.m.
