Stroke risk increasing for people in their 30's & 40's

Posted: Updated:

When you hear the word, "stroke," you may think of someone in their fifties or sixties. But the new reality is quite grim...more and more people in their twenties and thirties are suffering from strokes.

Dr. Sangeeta Shah with Covenant says, "People who eat a lot of fast food, who don't exercise and who are pre-diabetic are at a high risk for strokes."

She hopes the younger generations see this as a wake-up call. Shad recommends people avoid eating at fast-food restaurants and exercise for at least 20-minutes a day.
