WATERLOO (KWWL) -

After losing last Wednesday night at Tri City, the Waterloo Black Hawks snapped a two-game losing streak with an impressive 4-2 win over defending Clark Cup champion Dubuque at Young Arena.

Waterloo will host Sioux Falls Friday night at 7 p.m. at Young Arena.

On Tuesday morning, 11 Black Hawks players got up near the crack of dawn to give back to their community.

The Black Hawks spent nearly five hours helping Iowa Heartland Habitat for Humanity build a home on Waterloo's east side.

Community service is a staple of the Waterloo Black Hawk experience. Last year, the Black Hawks set a franchise record with more than 1,500 volunteer hours.
