Autopsy: Ames chase suspect shot twice

Posted: Updated:
AMES (KWWL) -

An autopsy shows the chase suspect who was shot on the Iowa State University campus was hit twice.

The Ames Tribune reports the state medical examiner says 19-year-old Tyler Comstack was hit once in the head and again in the chest.

His death is considered a homicide, because Comstack died because of the actions of another person.

The chase ended on the university campus Monday when Ames police officer Adam McPherson shot six times at the pick-up truck Comstack was driving.
