Name of murder suspect released in coach shooting

JOPLIN, Mo. (KWWL) -

Authorities have released the name of the man charged in the shooting death of a former eastern Iowa football coach.

Jeffery Bruner of Joplin, Missouri has been charged with felony murder in the death of Derek Moore.

Moore died after he was shot Friday night as he was leaving a movie theatre in Joplin.

Moore was in his first year as an assistant coach at Missouri Southern State University.

Previously, Moore had coached at the University of Northern Iowa, Upper Iowa University and Ames High School.
