No one injured in Cedar Falls house fire Monday

CEDAR FALLS (KWWL) - No injuries were reported in a two-story house fire Monday afternoon in Cedar Falls.

Cedar Falls Fire Rescue responded to a report of a residential fire in the 200 block of North Roosevelt Street in Cedar Falls just after 4 p.m. Monday.

Crews found a fire in the second-floor deck area and quickly gained control of it, limiting the damage to the deck area and exterior siding, according to Fire Chief John Schilling.

The roof structure also sustained minor damage.

Two children and their grandmother were home at the time. All three escaped injury.

The fire is still under investigation and there was no damage estimate as of Monday evening.
