Postville man wanted on drug charges found in Elgin

A Postville man wanted on drug charges in Fayette County was arrested on Sunday in Elgin.

Loren Victor Trappe, 44, was wanted for manufacturing marijuana and a drug tax stamp violation as a result of a search warrant that was executed on Oct. 30, according to the Fayette County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies took a report at around 8:45 p.m. Sunday that Trappe was at a home in Elgin.

Trappe was arrested after deputies and the Iowa State Patrol surrounded the home.

He is being held in the Fayette County Jail on $10,000 cash bond.
