Three people from Minnesota face drug charges after being arrested in Black Hawk County on Sunday morning.
A deputy saw what he thought was an abandoned vehicle in the area of West Schrock Road and Cotter Road at around 6:44 a.m. Sunday, according to Captain Rick Abben of the Black Hawk County Sheriff's Office.
When the deputy walked up to the car he found three people, two men and a woman, asleep.
Abben says that when the deputy talked to the trio, none of their stories matched. Abben did say that all three are from Duluth, Minn., and were passing through Black Hawk County when they got tired and decided to pull over and sleep.
A search of the vehicle turned up drug paraphernalia and a large amount of synthetic marijuana.
Thor Sorenson, 35, and Cody Anderson, 23, are charged them with possession of synthetic marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Sara Slaviero, 23, is charged with possession of synthetic marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of prescription drugs and interference with official acts.
