Strong second half pushes ISU past Augustana 90-68

Iowa State struggled without Melvin Ejim, but stepped up late to defeat Augustana (SD) 90-68 in exhibition action.

The Cyclones actually trailed the Vikings 39-36 at half, but outscored their opponent 54-29 over the final 20 minutes to get the win.

The newcomers led the Cyclones as Marshall transfer DeAndre Kane scored 19 and grabbed 10 rebounds in the win.  Freshman Matt Thomas hit 3-4 from 3 point range and tallied 16 points for Iowa State.
