DUNKERTON (KWWL) -

A Dunkerton football player accused of having a gun in his bag during a football game in Riceville has been arrested after being found in Texas.

18-year-old Mary'o Doyuan Lindsey, Jr. was arrested in Texas and is being held in the Dallas County Jail on $200,000 bond, according to Captain Rick Abben of the Black Hawk County Sheriff's Office.

Lindsey faces charges in Black Hawk County of carrying weapons, possession of a firearm on school grounds, possession of a firearm by a felon and possession of marijuana.

Abben says Lindsey will have an extradition hearing in Texas and will either post bond and return to Iowa for a court date or he will be extradited back to Black Hawk County to face the charges. Abben adds that if he fights extradition, Black Hawk County authorities will attempt to secure a Governor's Warrant to have him returned.

On Aug. 31, the Dunkerton superintendent reported a gun and suspected marijuana had been found in the duffel bag belonging to an injured football player.

Abben says Lindsey had traveled to Riceville with the team on Friday, Aug. 30, and was taken to a hospital after being injured in the game. The gun and suspected marijuana had been found in the bag after Lindsey was taken to the hospital.

After trying to find Lindsey in Black Hawk County, Abben says deputies received information that Lindsey had possibly fled to Texas. Lindsey was then placed on the Black Hawk County Sheriff's Office Top Ten List.

After learning of a possible location for Lindsey in Texas, the Black Hawk County Sheriff's Office contacted the United States Marshal's Service.

Lindsey will appear before a judge in Dallas County for an extradition hearing. If he fights extradition, Black Hawk County authorities will attempt to secure a Governor's Warrant to have him returned to Iowa.
