Health Plus: Centering Pregnancy Program

Posted: Updated:
When you find out you're pregnant, it can be an exciting and scary time all at once. But a new program at Covenant Medical Center wants to help you through those vital nine months.

It's all about preparing for motherhood at the Covenant Prenatal and Women's Health Clinic. Centering Pregnancy is a new program designed to give women a more active role in their pregnancy. "They get to be more involved in their pregnancy. They check their weight and blood pressure and they get a lot more one-on-one time. They're also in the class with women who are expecting baby near the same time as they are," said Jaclyn Roman, a Nurse Midwife with Covenant.
And when it comes to the unknown of pregnancy, childbirth and motherhood…Covenant values the importance of time. Mom-to-be Brittany Brewer agrees. "I feel like I get more time to ask the questions I need to. That's really important to me," said Brewer.
