Easton Valley outscores Janesville 77-63

JANESVILLE (KWWL) -

In Eight man football--sixth ranked Janesville riding a seven game winning streak hosts 6-3 Easton Valley.

And this was a game of big plays.

The game is tied at 7 in the first quarter-- Easton Valley's Andrew Driscoll squeezes through a hole in the middle and sprints 60 yards for the go ahead touchdown -- it's 14-7 Easton Valley.

Janesville comes right back-- Hunter Meyer fires a 20 yard pass to Chase Thompson at the Easton Valley two yard line.  Meyer scores on the next play as Janesville pulls to within 14-13.

But once again Easton Valley strikes back on the ground...Chase Zaruba rips through the line and goes 25 yards to give his team a 20-13 lead.

Janesville comes back through the air--- Hunter Meyer fires another bomb-- to a wide open  Nick Nelson--  60 yards for the touchdown-- Janesville ties the game at 20.

Meyer and Nelson would play throw and catch on three second quarter touchdown passes--- Janesville led 34-27 at halftime... But Easton Valley would win a back and forth thriller tonight 77-63.

    Nobody won the annual Cy-Hawk softball game on Wednesday. Darkness forced an end to the contest with the Hawkeyes and Cyclones tied at 6 apiece.
