Posted: Updated:
DES MOINES (AP) - Des Moines Police say they have a man in custody after he reportedly threatened to use a gun while in a school.
Merrill Middle School went on lockdown twice Tuesday afternoon.
Police say 35-year-old Ryan Collier got in a fight with a woman while in the building. An administrator tried to stop the fight, but Collier allegedly said he had a gun and threatened to use it.
Collier then ran from the building sending police on a two hour manhunt for him. There are no reported injuries.
Police managed to take Collier into custody at about 4:15 p.m. Tuesday afternoon.
