Bobcat spotted in Waverly

WAVERLY (KWWL) -

Waverly Police are reporting a bobcat was sighted in the city limits Thursday night.
Officials say bobcats are common in southern parts of Iowa. Department of Natural Resources officials and police say there is no need to be concerned, and that bobcats are not a threat to human safety except in rare circumstances.
If you do see a bobcat, officials say you should keep your distance and call police or the Department of Natural Resources.
