Police recover drugs and gun after search warrant

Waterloo police say they found drugs and a weapon while executing a search warrant Thursday.  

Waterloo Police Department's Violent Crime Apprehension Team and the Patrol Division conducted a search warrant at 400 block of Randall Street. 

During the investigation, officers seized a quantity of marijuana, money, packaging material and other items allegedly used in the sale and distribution of drugs.  Officers also seized a 9mm semi-automatic handgun. 

Officers took 31-year-old Corey Montrell Turner of Waterloo into custody.  Turner faces several felony charges drug charges.
