MARION (KWWL) -

The Marion Police Department says a fire that broke out in a home on Friday morning may have been caused by a meth lab.

Firefighters were called to 900 26th Street at around 5:30 a.m. Friday for a reported house fire.

When crews arrived, they found a man inside, but he was not hurt.

While investigating the fire, crews found items used for making methamphetamine. Police believe the fire is related to a meth lab.

The investigation continues and charges are pending.
