EAST DUBUQUE, Ill. (KWWL) -

Chyenne Kircher disappeared two years ago and was considered a runaway until earlier this year. An investigation led to her remains being found behind the home she shared with her mother and stepfather.

Prosecutors have charged Kircher's stepfather Terry Abbas with her death, saying he strangled her with his hands. Saturday, more than a dozen people took part in a Ride for Chyenne in East Dubuque. The ride consisted of motorcycles, vans, and cars traveling to Wisconsin and back to East Dubuque.

The ride will help raise funds to create a memorial in honor of Kircher at the East Dubuque Public Library as well as fund after school programs at the library in her honor.
