WAVERLY (KWWL) -

Police are using security footage to identify people who broke into nine vehicles in Waverly overnight.

Chief of Police Richard Pursell says the vehicles were unlocked, but none were damaged. Break-ins were reported in various locations throughout town.

There was damage to another vehicle someone decided to steal. Pursell says this vehicle was also unlocked, and the damage happened to the exterior of the vehicle after it was taken.

Police later located the stolen vehicle in Butler County. They believe the stolen vehicle and the other break-ins are related.

Authorities believe they are looking for two young male suspects, based on reports from witnesses and footage obtained from a security camera.

Call police if you have any information or if you have vehicle break-ins that need reported.
